New feathered parishioners of St John's - peregrine falcon news

New feathered parishioners of St John's

We are pleased to announce the hatching of two new chicks this week. Our Mother Falcon has been sitting on four eggs for some time and at last new life has arrived. We hope two more are on the way, but will give you a further update next week. There has been a great interest in our Falcons this year, especially as BBC Springwatch have chosen not to cover the birth of new Falcons this year. The ringing of the falcons will take place later, to be organised by the Hawk and Owl Trust. A special welcome to the many visitors to St John's, who travel from great distances to see our Falcons. Canon David has been asked recently, ' is your Church the Falcon Church?' He wonders if this is the New Evangelisation!
