Project Description
Catholic Chaplaincy at Bath’s Universities
Bath is fortunate to have two Universities; The University of Bath and Bath Spa University. As a parish community we are blessed to welcome so many Catholic students, many from overseas, who can find an anchor during their time away from home. Our Chaplaincy outreach is about welcoming, affirming, supporting and encouraging all our students as they seek to grow in mind and heart.
Fr Christopher is given the responsibility of caring for the Catholic students at our universities. Chaplaincy seeks to provide a place where in the midst of learning and intellectual growth the voice of Faith can make its most beautiful contribution.
The Catholic Society (CathSoc) supports our Catholic students of both universities and organises social events as well as opportunities to come together for prayer and reflection.
We host lots of events including socials, cultural food nights, faith retreats, game nights, trips. These are open to everyone any time throughout the year!
We look forward to meeting all of our new members! To keep up to date with our events, sign up to become a member of CathSoc for free to join our mailing list, or follow us on facebook or instagram for updates.
The Catholic Chaplain is Fr Christopher Whitehead. He is a huge part of the CathSoc family and takes care of all our spiritual and pastoral needs. He hosts meals at St John The Evangelist Church to get to know members of CathSoc.
