Project Description

Our Young Adults – Following the Lord

Our Young Adult Group (18+) has been growing in faith at St. John’s since 2015.

We started with helping with the cleanup of our Adoration Chapel, writing cards for the sick and praying for our community.

The group is a blended mix of young adults aged 18 – 35 from many different backgrounds from across the world. Indeed, a true representation of what it is to be Catholic and Universal.

The Group is united in its hopes for the forthcoming year to keep growing in faith, friendship and to be able to help each other.

After the summer of 2015, fresh from a packed schedule of social activities aimed at getting to know each other, St Johns Young Adult Group continued to walk together and formed an understanding of how to live as committed Christians and sharing with the local community the light of Christ.

In the Advent time of changes and challenges, the Group continues to ‘reach out’ and get more involved in the Parish and Local Community both spiritually and practically.

As well as leading a time of prayer in the shared International Rosary at Adoration Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament (every Friday from 8 to 9 pm) they welcomed the request of helping out in the sorting and cleaning of the new Adoration Chapel.

The group spent time raising money for the poor, visiting with the sick at the Royal United Hospital monthly and leading praise and worship through the Contemporary Music Group each Wednesday and every other Sunday evening Mass.
